When setup on Identity Safe, you can easily log-in to your favorite sites with a single click of the mouse.
AutoFill
Many Web sites have forms to fill out. AutoFill (sometimes called Manual Fill) lets you complete most forms automatically saving you a lot of time and effort.
Cards
Cards are used with Norton Identity Safe to establish the information that you want automatically entered on an online form. You can have multiple cards for multiple purposes.
Form Fill
Form fill gives you the ability to fill in the information in an online form that was previously saved on a Card, including name, address, and other details.
Green State
This means ‘no security risks detected on the site
Identity Safe

Log-in
A Log-in consists of a username and password. Norton Identity Safe manages your log-ins and allows you to access your favorite sites easily
Manual Fill
Manual Fill (also known as AutoFill) lets you complete most Web site forms automatically saving you a lot of time and effort.
Norton Authenticated State
Web site authentication ensures that the Web page is the company represented.
Norton Toolbar
The toolbar shown in your Internet Explorer or Firefox browser window. It includes anti-phishing protection as well as password management and form fill.
Phishing
An illegal attempt to get your personal and sensitive information to be used for the purpose of stealing your identity and/or your credit information.
Profile
A profile is first needed to setup Identity Safe so that you can choose a password to protect all of your personal information.
Red state
A red state on the toolbar tells you that a security risk has been detected. Norton will block the page and we recommend that you do not visit the site.
Secure Notes
Notes are used with Norton Identity Safe to securely store personal information.
Site Safety
Lets you know when Web sites contain a security risk. The toolbar will show green or red depending on the state of the Web page.
Notification Area
The notification area is found in the right hand corner of your computer screen.
Web Forms
These are forms that are found on many Web sites requiring that you fill them out. Forms normally require standard information including your name, address, and other personal information.
Identity Safe secures your personal information and protects your online identity. It allows you to save your username and passwords, and your personal information so you can conveniently fill logins and Web forms. Your first step in using Identity Safe is to create a Profile. Remember that the information you store in Identity Safe is encrypted to help keep it secure from others.
You can create a Profile from the dropdown option, Norton Toolbar, or notification area.
Identity Safe will offer you a dropdown option when you go to a Web page with a user name and password.

Creating a Profile is easy. Just create a master password. Norton also recommends that you use a strong password to ensure no one else can easily guess it; Norton provides a strength meter to help you come up with a strong password.

Defends against harmful threats running on the page
The Norton Toolbar shows an icon to the left of the padlock that indicates the safety protection state of the Web page. The Norton Toolbar will alert you if the Web page is unsafe.

Logins
Stores, protects, and can automatically fill your login information
Identity Safe Logins- Saves and protects your logins and passwords and automatically fills them in when you visit the site again.
Autofill login and password- Logins and passwords are automatically filled-in when you return to a site.
Go to a site that you want to log into. If you have previously saved your login information, it will automatically be completed for you. Just click Submit. Norton makes it so easy for you!

Manual fill of your logins- If you prefer, Norton gives you the ability to manually fill your username and password. With the click of your mouse, you can navigate to a form independent of the auto-logins menu. This means you can be on your favorite shopping site and choose a login from a page other than the shopping page that you’re on.
Go to the Manage Log-ins page and then to the login item to de-select “Automatically fill my Login when I visit this page” in the bottom right of the screen.

Secure Notes - This allows you to store other important information that does not have a pre-defined field in Identity Safe (e.g. frequent flyer information, social security numbers, passport information, etc.). You can have all your important information secured but accessible in one convenient location.
From the Norton Toolbar, click “Manage Notes”.
