The glossary below contains many of the terms you will find in common use throughout the Symantec Security Response website. Please refer to this list to find definitions of terms and answers to other Internet security-related questions.

root disk group

A special private disk group that always exists on the system. The root disk group is named <code>rootdg</code>.

A special private disk group on the system. The root disk group is named rootdg. However, starting with the 4.1 release of Veritas Volume Manager, the root disk group is no longer needed.
